Huat Arh!!!!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

Mine didn't exactly started in best possible tradition. Dad was grumpy because mum was taking her time, we are stuck in an outdoor zi char place with middle aged uncles abusing cheap reds in the most horrid of manners, set menu was a major mistake, someone nearly dump a claypot of soup on my head and the list goes on.

One thing did turn out well. I had the longest conversation with dad for a long long time.

Now I just dread the thought of going back Hobart in a couple of weeks.

p.s. any mahjong anywhere?

How Trite

"Litigation has become an inevitable stage in the life cycle - slightly beyond adolescence but before maturity. It is virtually impossible to survive litigation and remain solvent, but it is occasionally possible to endure it and remain sane. As a modern ordeal by torture, litigation excels: it is exorbitantly expensive, agonisingly slow, and exquisitely designed to avoid any resemblances to fairness or justice. Yet, in strange an devious ways, it does settle disputes - to everyone's dissatisfaction"

J.S Auerbach, "Welcome to Litigation" New Republic, 17th January 1981.
